Celso Tumolo
Prof. Celso Henrique Soufen Tumolo – Associate Professor at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, working in the Department of Foreign Language and Literature – DLLE, and in the Graduate Program in English: Linguistic and Literary Studies ( PPGI ), CCE, UFSC, specifically in the areas of teaching and learning English as a foreign language and educational technology, with a postdoctoral degree involving the educational use of Digital Stories and the development of multimedia material.
He has current research on the use and development of video and multimedia material as educational material. He is the coordinator of the research group Digital Resources and Teaching/Learning ( ReDE ) of English.
The ongoing research projects are:
Digital Resources and English Development: Perception of Your Contribution. The research seeks to understand how digital resources can contribute to the development of English as a foreign language, with specific objectives to identify how the contributions of digital video resources and smartphone application are perceived by teachers and/or learners as aids for the acquisition of English.
Digital Resources and Teaching and Learning of English. The research seeks to understand how digital resources have been used for teaching and learning English, with the specific objectives of identifying which resources have been used and what results have been obtained with their use.
She is currently, together with Professor Kyria Finardi, from the Federal University of Espírito Santo, organizing a thematic number Revista Ilha do Desterro, in the area of educational technology for teaching/learning English.

É Professor Associado da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Departamento de Língua e Literatura Estrangeiras - DLLE, CCE, UFSC, trabalhando na graduação como também na pós-graduação em Inglês (PGI). Possui graduação em Pedagogia pela UNICAMP (1988), mestrado em Letras (Inglês e Literatura Correspondente) pela UFSC (1999) e doutorado em Letras (Inglês e Literatura Correspondente) pela UFSC (2005).
Foi: coordenador do Curso de Licenciatura em Letras - Inglês na modalidade a distância UFSC entre 2009 e 2013; fundador do Núcleo Multiprojetos de Tecnologia Educacional - NUTE UFSC, o qual coordenou até dezembro de 2015; coordenador do Programa Inglês sem Fronteiras UFSC entre 2014 e 2015; coordenador da área do Inglês, do PIBID UFSC no ano de 2017; coordenador do Programa de Pós-graduação em Inglês - PPGI, UFSC gestão 2017-2019.
Fez seu primeiro pós-doutorado em tecnologia educacional na Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro entre julho e dezembro de 2013, e na University of Houston, Texas, Estados Unidos, entre janeiro e junho de 2014. Fez seu segundo pós-doutorado em tecnologia educacional na Universidade Federal de Vitória entre agosto e dezembro de 2019 e na University of California at Santa Barbara entre janeiro e julho de 2020.
Tem experiência na área de Educação, atuando, como pesquisador e orientador, na área de ensino de inglês como língua estrangeira e tecnologia educacional. Atualmente, desde junho de 2021, é novamente coordenador do Programa de Pós-graduação em Inglês - PPGI, UFSC. (Texto informado pelo autor)
